AUSTIN! You're the heart and soul of Jhankaar and we very literally would have no rhythm as a team without you. You're the real MVP for your legendary beatboxing skillz and musical talent, and your sense of humor is bizarre but quite iconic. Thank you for the memes and memories and music. What a concept!? Good luck with all your future endeavors, and PLEASE VISIT OFTEN NEXT YEAR! :D -Pooja
I'm so glad you joined Jhankaar! I'm fascinated by how you are able to pinpoint exactly when people are going flat and sharp and how those tiny changes you made to the arrangements made such a big impact. I feel like you've got more talents hiding under your sleeve. I mean what's next after orchestra, arranging, beatboxing, and choreo? I don't know how you do it, being a part of so many different clubs. I hope you're catching up on all the lost sleep in quarantine. All the best with your future endeavors and please come back and visit us! -Nira
HEY AUSTIN! I remember the first time I heard your name. I wasn’t able to make the practice that Daivik had brought you in, and I missed out on meeting you when the whole team did. The next time we had practice, everyone was mentioning your name and saying how quirky you were, and I was still confused as to who you were. I am so glad you decided to join Jhankaar this past year. I have learnt so much about music and so much about what I don’t know about music. You have truly inspired me to practice more and do better. Jhankaar will truly miss you, and I hope you will come to visit us! - Asritha
Austin, I’m so glad I got to know you this year! You instantly brought so much joy and talent to this team :)) You never fail to amaze me with your ability to arrange, be a part of a billion different orgs and ofc your insane beatboxing skills (pls teach me). Thank you for dealing with our many dysfunctional shenanigans! I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you're going to accomplish and I know you will absolutely kill it! Come visit all the time!! Love, Tanu
AUSTIN!! I cannot tell you how much you inspire me to become 1% of the musician you are. I was constantly amazed at how easily and effortlessly you caught mistakes in pitch, knew exactly where to start and stop us, and even knew CHOREOGRAPHY (that morey piya line was actually the most hype part of the entire set)!!! Please please please explore this avenue more I will be hitting you up for choreo help next year too LOL :)) The car rides back from West Village was always filled with McDonalds smelling air, BEAUTIFUL acapella arrangments playing on the car, and you and Savita talking about some music major topic that I always was curious to listen to. I will miss these car rides!! I will always admire you for literally waking up to drive us to the airport, and I will NEVER forgive myself for oversleeping BUT YOU WERE SO NICE ABOUT IT I WILL ALWAYS BE AMAZED AT THAT TOO. BASICALLY I am amazed at everything you do and no matter what, always know that you have a fan in Davis who will eagerly be waiting for all the news you will send us about your adventures being a SUPER COOL Med student, composing music, and leading the next biggest dance team to world domination (I'm telling you CHOREGRAPH IT!!). I WILL MISS YOU AUSTIN STAY SAFE AND STAY IN TOUCH <33 -Sanjana
Hey Austin, you were amazing to work with. Thank you for imparting your music knowledge, although my tiny brain couldn't keep up! You're one of the most brilliant musicians I've come across. I'll never forget your iconic beatboxing and no one can beat it! I loved getting into your car to be greeted by food packs from McDonalds! Please keep coming to jhankaar practices. Good luck for everything that you aspire to do. We love you and will miss you terribly. -Shivani
Hey Austin, It sucks that I only got to know you this year, and sucks even more that you couldn't get a proper graduation. By far the most surprising addition to Jhankaar but definitely a welcome one. You never failed to surprise me with your talent. Like wtf you learned how to beatbox in like a month and were such a champ during the beatbox competitions (so sorry). And choreo??? Was honestly so much fun to work on it with you and your ballroom dancing skills. Although you may be dead inside, I really looked up to your ability to be able to put your 100% into anything you do (except staying awake in class???), especially with the 1000 different organizations you are in. Congratulations on getting into vet school btw, you’ll be even more dead inside but at least you’ll be successful? All jokes aside, I wish you all the best and I know you’re gonna kill it as a vet or any other career/musical endeavors you choose to have. Pls come back and visit. -Ria
Austin, I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to meet someone who is both musically knowledgeable and humble (besides Savita). It’s honestly iconic how famous you are solely because of the absurd amount of groups and activities you are apart of, I sometimes find myself bragging that I know you. You better come back and visit! I might just leave my phone in your car again so you have to come back. -Avani
Oh, boy. Jhankaar is really going to miss you, Austin. Thanks for making my first year of acapella so much fun. I can't believe I didn't really talk to you in VGO last year, but I'm very grateful I got to know you this year. I've learned so much from you from arranging to McFlurry spoons, your wisdom is vast and infinite. Every single Big Brain moment where you spontaneously came up with some music effect to add to our songs blew my mind each time. You're also just one of the few people I've met in college that I feel genuinely comfortable talking to and joking around with, and I'm really going to miss that a lot. Oh, and thank you for the upwards of a million times that you've driven me and Avani from rehearsal. You're an exceptional musician and an even better human being; I have no doubt that you're going to do great things in graduate school and beyond. -Savita
Austinnnn!!! You are like literally one of the coolest people I have ever met, NO CAP. Although you have been a part of the team for a short while, I feel like your contributions to the team are absolutely phenomenal. (PSsst I was highkey fangirling when you joined the team, ngl) Thank you for being such a great teacher, an awesome beatboxer, and a really fun person to be around! CONGRATULATIONS on making it through college, and I'm sure you are going to absolutely ACE Vet school!! Keep in touch!! <3<3 - Janhavi
AUSTIN!!! (Uuuooosttinnn)!!!!! Aka the wonderful addition to our leetle family that was honestly incomplete without you. I remember meeting you for the first time at the boba place with daivik and the team and thinking “this guy is really funny!” And then when I found out you were joining the team I was rly excited to hear, hoping I would get to hear some more jokes. After practices with you, it was confirmed that you are an extremely talented person, an extremely busy person, a kind-hearted and patient guy with a knack for choreo ;) (more piya salsa). One of the most memorable times with you was when we landed in Texas for awaazein and saw the sunrise from a lyft. Thanks for your incredible insight in music and for being another crazy in a family of crazies! I’m so proud of you and all the great things you’re going to do!! Keep in touch Austin!! -Tarushi
Austin, Thanks so much for helping us out when we needed it. I can honestly say that my approach and skill in acapella has only gotten better thanks to your feedback. You're a legendary bass singer (the last God is a woman line) and a beatboxer (movement). Your sense of humor is shocking to say the least and your enthusiasm can light up a room. Yet when it came to competition time, you were always serious when it mattered. I distinctly remember one day where a bunch of us after studying went to in n out and talked about the ac-a-thon. You're also the best beatboxer I've met, and u definitely need to come back to Awaazein and defend ur title. I also rly think you should audition for the Morey Piya solo. Never stop being you! Good luck in grad school and keep in touch with the Jhankaar hoes! And ur other AG hoes too. And VGO hoes. -Abhishek
MVP, never stop doing what you do. Congrats on graduating, I know you'll succeed in whatever field you put your mind to. Remember to come back and see us tho, we still need your godlike experience with arranging and your creative beatboxing. -Rithik
Austin I can’t thank you enough for the help you have given for my understanding of musical theory. You have been a delightful teammate to practice with and your ability to stay level-headed and calm throughout tenuous pre-comp practices is something I aspire to have in the future. Although weve only met this year, I have gained an appreciation for the numerous relatable conversations about the stress of academia. You are one of the funniest people Ive met and I thank you for helping the basses improve their performance. Your expertise on acapella arrangement gave me perspective on the technicalities that I need to improve on, and you are genuinely one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to work with. I wish you well in medical school and for your future endeavors. Your disciple, Rithvik
